Robert Mace, President & CEO to Retire from SYNERGY NORTH

Thunder Bay, ON – Following a long career as President and CEO of SYNERGY NORTH, Robert Mace has announced his retirement, effective May 21, 2021.

Mace joined Thunder Bay Hydro as the Customer Service Supervisor in 1991. Subsequently, he continued to hold a variety of leadership roles in the company such as Director of Customer Service and Vice-President of Customer Service & Information Systems. Since July 2003, Mace has served as President and CEO of SYNERGY NORTH, formally Thunder Bay Hydro, overseeing critical operations and was instrumental in managing the merger of the Thunder Bay and Kenora utilities.

In addition to his position as President and CEO, Mace is a director and past chair of the Electrical Distribution Association; director and past chair for The MEARIE Group; and director for the Electrical Safety Authority Board of Directors, serving also as Chair of the Chair People Culture & Governance Committee. Mace received his undergraduate degree from Lakehead University and his MBA from Laurentian University.
