Opening an Account
To open a commercial account with SYNERGY NORTH, you have two options. A $30 set up charge is added to your first bill any time a new account or move request is submitted. A security deposit will be required as well, please scroll down to visit our security deposit page.

AT THE OFFICE
Visit our Customer Service office located on the main floor of 34 Cumberland Street North in Thunder Bay. We are open Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Make sure to bring two pieces of identification with you.
Customers located in Kenora can visit the City Hall Office at 1 Main Street South between the hours of 8:30am-4:30pm. Make sure to bring two pieces of identification with you.
Security deposits are charged on all new customer accounts. Depending on the size of service, the deposit will be held for either five (5) or seven (7) years. Business customers can have their deposit waived in two ways:
- Provide a credit reference letter from a Canadian utility stating that the business has had good payment history for a minimum of 5-7 years. This varies on the size of service.
- Provide an irrevocable letter of credit from your financial institution.
