The quickest and easiest way to sign for a new SYNERGY NORTH account! Scan or take a photo of two pieces of identification. Acceptable file formats are: JPG, GIF, PNG or BMP (6 Megabytes maximum).

Opening an Account

To open a new residential account with us, you have several options. A $30 set up charge is added to your first bill any time a new account or move request is submitted. A security deposit will be required as well, please scroll down to visit our security deposit page.

Please ensure you have two pieces of identification prior to signing up for service. If you sign up online, ensure to have these photos ready to upload into our portal.

If you do not have the below identification, please contact our Customer Service department to talk to a representative at (807) 343-1111 or email customerservice@synergynorth.ca.

Primary Photo Identification:

  • a valid provincial or state Driver’s License,
  • a valid passport, Canadian citizenship card, military identification, or official government identification,
  • a Certificate of Indigenous Status issued by the Government of Canada,
  • a Firearms Acquisition Certificate.

Secondary Identification:

  • a credit card with signature or bankcard with signature,
  • student identification card
  • a birth or marriage certificate
  • an Employee Identity Card issued by an employer
  • an Outdoors Card issued by the Ontario Government,
  • a valid foreign passport.
  • S.I.N. and Health Card numbers may be used for visually verifying personal identification only – these numbers will not be recorded.

At The Office

Thunder Bay
Visit our Customer Service office located on the main floor of 34 Cumberland Street North in Thunder Bay. We are open Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:30 pm. Make sure to bring two pieces of identification with you.

Kenora
Customers located in Kenora can visit the City Hall Office at 1 Main Street South between the hours of 8:30am-4:30pm. Make sure to bring two pieces of identification with you.
